Strawberry Shortcake!

 Strawberry Shortcake and her friends were first introduced in 1979/80, after the character appeared on an American Greetings card, and had been a hit. There were four original dolls, all had flat hands and were made of vinyl.

 They each also were scented like their name implied. For example Blueberry Muffin was scented like blueberries, etc. They were Strawberry Shortcake, Huckleberry Pie, Blueberry Muffin, and Apple Dumplin'. Apple Dumplin' was the only doll that came with a pet-Tea Time Turtle.
