Freelance Community Manager/Moderator Home-based with occasional travel to London (UK-based only)

StrawberrySocial is looking for a freelance social media professional to support its growing team. The role will require you to have a proven track record in managing creative content, community engagement and moderation. Some work will be regular, other work project-based, (please note that this is not a full-time role and hours will vary considerably).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily monitoring of social channels and social listening. Engaging with audience using brand tone of voice and messaging. Posting client written content, working from FAQs and Standard Response Templates.
  2. Writing original content for social media channels, planning and scheduling in content calendar, guiding engagement, liaising with influencers and writing reports.
  3. Moderation of social media content based on client guidelines.
  4. Encouraging discussion within online communities.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  1. An outstanding knowledge of online user habits and idiosyncrasies.
  2. Confident use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  3. Knowledge of market trends and best practices.
  4. First-class interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Spot on spelling and grammar.
  6. A passion for all things social media.
  7. Highly motivated and confident, with a strong work ethic and pride in what you do.
  8. Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with reporting tools such as Google analytics and Facebook insights.
  9. A flexible approach!
  10. Some knowledge of PPC/paid media or a love for the latest online tools would be nice but are not must-haves.

A practical written test will be given to all applicants selected for an interview.
